3:10 to Yuma

Now when i was watching this movie i immediately realized that the storyline reminded me a lot of Bruce Willis' '16 Blocks' wherein the protagonist is in custody of a witness that he has to bring to a court to testify 16 blocks(hence the title) away from him. well the witness actually has to testify against most of the dirty cops in the area. And there lies his problem, he is being chased by the very people he know and trust. So the plot is basically surviving the 16 block travel.

Now on to 3:10 to Yuma. its almost the same plot. except its setting is the old west and the cargo is not a witness but a dreaded killer and fastest hand in the west ben wade(Russel Crowe). The protagonist Dan Evans(Christian Bale) is a lowly farmer who volunteers to escort the prisoner along with three other sheriffs for 200 hundred dollars. He was gonna use it so his family can survive. All he has to do is take the prisoner to the train station to Yuma and survive the gang that wants their leader, Ben Wade, back.

Starring:
Russell Crowe
Christian Bale
Logan Lerman

The story ends with Dan Evans loading Ben in the train heading for the prison in Yuma but gets shot by Ben's gang. Ben gets freed and swiftly kills all his gang. Ben mourns his lost friend Dan and peacefully boards the train to Yuma.
